An independent audio studio from Seoul.
devbylabs was founded in 2026 to build clean, Apple-native software under our own name — audio plugins, iOS apps, and macOS apps. We keep the catalog small enough that every product earns its place.
Mission
Most studios grow by adding products. We grow by sharpening them. Each plugin we release is meant to do one specific job better than the generic options bundled with a DAW — whether that job is a quick mixing fix, a signature lo-fi character, or a dense tail for ambient work. We pick reverbs first because reverb is where most producers either over-spend (loading heavyweight CPU monsters) or under-spend (using the DAW stock for everything). We want a middle path.
The same philosophy carries to our iOS and macOS apps: small, focused tools that do one thing well, are pleasant to look at, and never phone home. We are committed to native Swift / SwiftUI, Apple Silicon performance, and shipping under our own developer identity.
Organization
devbylabs is a small, founder-led studio. The roles below reflect the day-to-day discipline split, not separate headcount — we keep the organization deliberately tight so shipping cycles stay short.
Engineering
Audio DSP · iOS · macOS
Designs plugin algorithms and ships the iOS and macOS apps that go out under our name. Apple-native stack throughout: Swift, SwiftUI, AudioUnit, Core Audio.
QA
Reliability & compatibility
Cross-device test matrix, DAW compatibility passes, iOS and macOS regression suites. Every release goes through QA sign-off before it ships.
